Carl Jung coined the term "synchronicity" to describe meaningful coincidences that cannot be explained by cause and effect. These moments when the inner and outer worlds align are not random—they are messages from the depths of reality itself.

The Language of Symbols

Symbols are the vocabulary of the unconscious mind, and by extension, of the collective consciousness that underlies all existence. A symbol is not just a representation—it is a living thing that bridges worlds.

When you notice a recurring symbol in your life—be it an animal, a number, a word, or an image—pay attention. The universe is speaking to you in a language older than words.

Recognizing Synchronicity

True synchronicity has three

key characteristics:

1. Meaningfulness: The coincidence feels significant, even if you cannot immediately articulate why.
2. Unlikelihood: The probability of the event occurring by chance seems remarkably low.
3. Timing: It happens at a moment when you are particularly open or in need of guidance.

Practical Application

Start a synchronicity journal. Note any meaningful coincidences, recurring symbols, or moments that feel especially "charged" with meaning. Over time, patterns will emerge.

Trust your intuition when a symbol appears. Your first instinct is often the most accurate. The rational mind will try to dismiss these moments, but the soul knows better.

Working with Symbols

When a symbol appears repeatedly, sit with it. Meditate on its qualities, its traditional meanings, and what it might be trying to tell you specifically. Draw it, visualize it, create an altar piece featuring it.

Remember: symbols are not static. Their meanings evolve as you evolve. The same symbol may mean different things at different stages of your journey.
